Collaboration with a painter

Ana (Artist Ana) Corral-Kelly is a Spanish painter, living in Australia, who paints fantastic abstract landscapes. She is a versatile artist, best known as a specialist in small-size paintings on greeting cards.

Some time ago she asked me if she could use my photos as inspiration for a new series.
That series is now complete, 15 beautiful paintings inspired by my abstract realistic landscapes.

‘Medium point’ is the 9th painting that Ana made in a special series. This painting is inspired by my photo ‘Lingering clouds’.

Chasing shadows

Chasing shadows

Summer sun
chasing shadows, awaking
daydreaming trees

‘Chasing shadows’ is a photo in the series ‘A land of polders and rivers’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘.

A warm spring day in the Ooijpolder nature reserve, near the city of Nijmegen. I’m leading a workshop for 8 enthusiastic amateur photographers, all of whom are busy practicing the photography techniques that I have explained to them. A moment to make some photos myself…

Strolling along bleak waters

A cold afternoon in northwest Denmark. There is little wind, a beautiful occasion for a stroll through the marshes of Agger Tange.

I made this photo on a beautiful spring afternoon just before sunset in the nature reserve Agger Tange.
Agger Tange is a wetlands area just south of the coastal town of Agger on the North Sea coast of northwest Jutland, Denmark.

A light breeze after the rain (1)

The land is soaked after a heavy rain shower.
The water of the lake still reflects the intense gray color of rainclouds blown past.
A late afternoon sun shines gingerly through the thinning cloud cover…

I made this photo late in the afternoon, standing on the shore of the lake ‘Flade Sø’, just north of the coastal town of Agger in northwest Jutland, Denmark.
